If you've decided you want to produce a course yearbook, don't hesitate - get on with it. The longer you have to produce it, the better it will be. You should try and timetable production to avoid exam times. You'll need to get an idea if the other people on your course will be interested in buying one, or will help in raising the funds to pay for it. There is usually a minimum order of 50 copies. The next thing you could do is contact us here by e-mail, or telephone

People do send us draft yearbooks that are the result of their single-handed blood, sweat and tears. These dedicated people pull off some amazing organisational feats, but we can't help noticing that sometimes the best yearbooks are those that have been produced by a team. Your team may look something like this:
It's unlikely you'll need a person for each task - but it does help to have other people involved and generally leads to a more professional publication. The best way to progress, when you've got your team organised is to brainstorm ideas - what do you want to see in your yearbook, what events do you want to look back on. There will be financial considerations and it pays to bear that in mind before you progress too far. We can give you a production estimate and a way to work out your costs, so e-mail us or tel: 0131 225 5995. You can generate extra finance for your yearbook by selling advertising the way to approach this will also be outlined in your production pack. The year that graduated before you may well have produced a course yearbook too - don't be fooled into thinking yours has to look like theirs - see it as a challenge and make yours even, funnier, more bizarre, more themed. |
