Sucalan (Scotland) is a friendly and inexpensive family run Edinburgh B&B, close to many attractions, the Edinburgh City Centre (10 mins bus journey) and the Edinburgh University.

We operate on a seasonal basis, offering a cheap but nice, clean and comfortable environment in a convenient, sought after area where full-time B&Bs, guest houses and hotels are strategically situated for easy access to the city centre. This stretches from Minto Street up to Craigmillar Park (see map on Location page).

We started doing bed & breakfast in 2001, after years of being host family to foreign students mainly teenage girls — as our children were very young.

Although the children are a little older now, we still prefer female guests or a young couple (a man and a woman). It is therefore much appreciated if enquirers could provide a little information about themselves.

Our experience with the B&B's guests these two summers was extremely positive and enjoyable. And with our guests' encouragement and their appreciation, we have decided to continue with our 'homely B&B'.
